This weeks Thrift store craft...

Ok, this weeks thrift store craft came about after I was cleaning up the twins room. The little kids love hats. But as I was picking up their room, I noticed how much space they took up in their toy bins. *Light-bulb* (have you ever seen Despicable Me? Hehe) Anyways, I had this idea that I should make something to hang above their toy bins to hang their hats on.
Soooo....
I took an extra piece of wood I had cut to replace the broken bed slats in the older boys room. (Which is why they are no longer allowed to jump on their beds). I rounded up the $1 bag of knobs I bought at the Thrift Store and got to work.

After painting a light coat of dark red on my board. I sanded and then stained the edges. I measured the spots for my knobs, did a little drilling, and voila!

The boys now have a cute rustic place to hang all their dress up hat and more room in their toy bins to place all the toys that are messing up the room!

While I was add it, I painted up this scrap of wood at the same time, put some vinyl on it to make a sign to hang above their Christ picture in their room as well.
