Thrift Store Special

So not long after my Valentines day decor deal, I went for the first time to our local thrift shop to check out what it had to offer. They didn't have what I was looking for (a bookshelf to refurbish), but I came across these craft items. The lot of them for $7. The most expensive one was the grab bag of sewing supplies. I'm so excited to put my mind to work and create a new life for them :)

Here's what the craft grab bag for $2.50 had to offer. Everything from the jute, to vintage ribbon, specialty needles, snaps, and buttons. It was so fun to go through. It was almost like someone had taken their grandmother's sewing box and dumped it in a bag. It was filled with a treasure of things from years gone by. Back from a time where they still put price tag stickers on things, and things only cost 10 cents. It was worth $2.5o for me just for the different jute and the buttons.

And here are the buttons. My favorite is the football shaped and the blue square. With them were every spare button from every shirt, pants, and sweater the old grandma bought from Christopher and Banks. I got to empty out more than a dozen of little pouches encasing a button that was saved for a future day. I love people who save.

The other bag was a bag of random spare knobs for $1. Definitely worth it, seeing how 2 knobs cost that much.

Wait for future posts to see what I end up doing with my thrift store treasures :)
